New Downloads
October 7th, 2007
Since I've been working on the site redesign lately, I decided I should release some of these 'on hold' betas I've been
keeping to myself and my testers. I've just added Frag Arena 1.3 beta and Encircle 1.0 freeware to the downloads page.
Give them a try and let me know what you think. I know I've worked on Frag Arena since this release, fixed many things, and
added some, but the core of the game should be in the release. Also, the version of Encircle being released is a pretty
simple game. There is no sound, but you can see the basic idea of the game. I'm letting it go, it's done.
Site redesign
October 6th, 2007
A site redesign was 3+ years overdue. It sat on the long list of Skelman Software to-do's as life kept getting
in the way. Instead of a part time thing for fun, making games and updating the site had become a very rare thing. The
hope is to resubmit the old games to download sites, and spruce up the site for marketing purposes. Putting in a decent
effort should result in more sales, traffic, and fun. If none of that works, at least I'll be active with the site again. That's my blab for today.
News updates are overrated
August 28th, 2007
There's a new HQ for Skelman Software. A bigger, better LAN room is just waiting for
the next Skelfest. Gaming and programming season is almost here (that would be October to April), and
the XNA board game will be at the top of the development list once again.
Skelman Software games of the future will most likely be XNA titles, making use of the latest DirectX incarnation from Microsoft. Dual development on PC and XBOX made easy, although nothing for XBOX360 is planned... So many loose ends to tie up, will anything get done around here? Or will the next news post simply be next August, with another
year gone, and nothing accomplished. I'm more optimistic than that! :)
